Google Earth glitches

Google Earth has got to be one of the coolest things on the net. But it badly needs to update its Philippine database. Some of our islands are covered with clouds. But what really caught my attention was this mix up during my search for Boracay island.

It totally screwed up the island names, with Boracay (misspelled Borocay), Coron and Busuanga, located near each other in what seemed like the Bicol-Samar area. A tiny island was labeled Samar. More interestingly, I finally found Boracay island, and it was labeled Gunauayan Island!

What's up with that? Hopefully, things will improve soon, as these would totally confuse foreigners (or even locals). I tried looking for our house when Google Earth first came out a few years ago, and Quezon City (or MetroManila for that matter) was just a blurred mess then. Now, at least it shows our house quite clearly, but using satellite photos from a few years back. Oh well.
